Description
Named for Umberto I, King of Italy at the time of construction (1887-1891), and located across the street from the San Carlo opera house, Galleria Umberto I is an indoor public shopping arcade in Naples, Italy.
Designed by Emanuele Rocco, it contains apartments on the third floor, and has offices, shops and cafes on the lower levels, along with a large public area - another of those places into which an awful lot of hay might be put.
