Another of their simple ad pieces, in this case the side of a 12-bottle tin; from the Genesee Brewing Company, of Rochester, NY, one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States, comes this super polished ale.
The Company is part of North American Breweries, the largest independently owned beer company in the United States (Dates back to 1857).
12 Horse Ale was named for America�s only 12-horse hitch and 12 Horse Team, the Genesee's first famous trademark.
Produced on and off since about 1933, when available it is prized for its distinctive (some say "corny") flavor.
As with much in the world of food & drink, it's OK if you like that sort of thing.
We do, but then again we also favored Black Horse Ale, another brew that is dashedly hard to find.
